Be Bolder Be Stronger
For the “New Mum New Bedroom” challenge our designers were asked to help Annalise! As a first time mum Annalise was inevitably a little exhausted and the challenge was to help her rethink her bedroom space to enable more peace, calm and downtime in her life. She wanted a more muted palette, as it was a little too pink. She wanted the accent chairs to stay but change the colours. The designer had to help Annalise:
– Choose a neutral color-scheme;
– Rethink the pink chair colours; &
– Choose new curtain & wall colours.
Before and After
The top design took this pink room and turned it into a peaceful & calm neutral bedroom idea with a lot of flair including the white four poster bed. Gone are the pink walls & curtains and replaced with bright soothing whites & neutrals.
The biggest change by far in this room is the wallpaper from the overpowering pink to a more subtle and supportive neutral one. The new wallpaper also compliments the white four poster bed & the curtains were clearly carefully selected as they match the new wallpaper fantastically well.
The new white floor lamp and mirror are a delightful addition to this roo design. We especially like how the shape of the mirror reflects the shapes within the pattern of the wallpaper.
The addition of the wooden flooring lifts the room & the changing of the accent chair fabric to gray has added to the ambience.
This winning design clearly meets Annalise’s specification by changing the colour of the accent chair, making the room more neutral as well changing the wall and curtain colours. The bedroom design shows how the Signaturize Room Creator App can be used by interior designers to inspire clients.
